The IDPrime MD 830 smart cards by Gemalto are a minidriver enabled contact smart card. These smart cards provide a contact interface for both Java platform and a combination of Java platform plus PKI applet.  

These smartcards provide PKCS#11 support for Windows, Linux and MAC OS and are FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified. 

The IDPrime MD 830 B with HID iClass Prox 16KB combines proximity technology as well for a converged card that will work for both physical and logical access.  These cards come with a preassigned facility/site code and card numbers as determined by HID. 

These IDPrime MD smartcards have built in card management capabilities in Microsoft Server and Windows OS without the need for additional card management middleware.
